The Smo Show convinced me of my outdated thinking. Just placed an order for a roll of Snipersling .6 latex.
I'm sure you've all seen Smo's Slingshot Latex Shoot-out:
This is really great work.
Back to the Snipersling, it looks like it will outperform TBG in every capacity?
Sometimes after about a hundred shots the band ends near the pouch start to twist and point outwards. I tend to see this with thicker bands above 0.55. Is this a result of not tying the bands tight enough? I am using a constrictor knot.
I just started learning to shoot slingshot. I am now planning to cut my own bands. I plan to buy 0.7mm SIMPLESHOT PREMIUM LATEX SHEET for target shooting, cut to a 20mm to 15mm taper, around 300% elongation when shooting. And since I'm new, I'm shooting beer cans at around 13 yards...
I switched over to Precise anti-cold for the winter but I don't see any improvement in performance. I will start keeping a one of those medical hot/cold packs heated up in my pocket to get the bands up to temperature instead. One other option I thought I could use is a mini rubber hot water...
I’m new to this flat band “stuff” and was thinking of buying some gzk black 0.8 for shooting 9.5-11mm bbs can someone tell me what taper is better: 20-12 or 24-19 i’m using it for pigeons and pheasants
I have tried a few different ways of pulling the bands back since i stated this hobby and have watched countless videos of others. I have now settled on my method but I wonder, as I line everything up there are minor adjustments I make while pulling the bands/pouch back. It may be a small twist...
I hope you are having a great day. I just started playing slingshot.
Have you ever used "SIMPLESHOT PREMIUM LATEX TUBE and SHEET" ? I plan to buy their 1842 or 1745 tubes and 0.7 or 0.8 mm PREMIUM LATEX SHEET. What do you think ? Thanks
Also, where do you buy pouches? I saw it...
I'm shooting 10mm steel and my taper is 20 to 12 and it's snapping right at the tied pouch end. I shoot 8mm steel and on the same taper and it happens just not as quickly at 10mm steel is it because the 12mm tapered end is to small? Should I go up to 14mm or 15mm? Any advice will help.. look at pics
When tying flat bands to the fork tips I have always done a pre-wrap around the groove first and then put the bands in place and then started to wrap around the bands. It works fine but I noticed 1 video where the bands were just tied straight to the fork tips. I like the idea of the extra wrap...
Hey guys, I just found out that a store nearby has some theratube .I just want a little help to know what is the best for me. I want to hunt rabbits and pigeons and target shooting .I am 15 but I am already stronger than most of adults.
Thanks for the help.
Edited per Charles' questions.
I shoot OTT, usually using 030 latex straight cut @ 3/4". It seems that after putting on new set of rubber that my shot placement is dramatically more inconsistent. Once those bands get 40-60 shots under their belt then shot placement comes back to what I...
Thanks so much for having me. I'm pretty much a novice. I have a daisy powerline model I bought from walmart. I have had some practice with it as I also owned one before. I was really hoping someone could give me tips on mods for better accuracy, and faster firing. I was thinking I should mod...
A few made in one morning. The pouches are all exactly the same, but a couple of pouches are kind of turned on edge. Left to right, 3 Light Sets, 3 Express sets, 6 Field sets. Picture taken on my work table where I tie bands. -- Tex
So, many of us have a BOB...Bug Out Bag. In it there are many survival tools, one of which is a slingshot.
The question is how do you maintain the longevity of the bands/tubes on your forks? We all know that heat is an enemy.
Do you rotate them? Are they unbanded? what would you do it the...
