I've figured out if American Natives had had slingshots, Crazy Horse could have been kept a root like this little double shooter. That's why I named it "Hoka-Hey", his war shout (is that correct, or should I say War Cry?). Anyway this is a little double root antler mounted with TB gold 20 mm...
I was walking along the riverside when I saw a poplar lying on the bank
Curiosity prompted me to seek an antler in the roots and I found this big
one. There are five stones in the slingshot that must have been
incorporated by the roots during its growth.
This root was found in a dry bed of a small creek in Piedmont
Its natural shape was already a PFS with a large base of the handle. The wood doesn't look very strong itself. The short forks are well embraced by the fingers and the slingshot is very well kept
