' Wondering what the optimum banding is for 10 meter target shooting...….I'm thinking that the best tournament shooters are only pulling about 6 pounds...….That is just a guess, but have seen a lot of the better Chinese shooters shooting the light .45 tapers...……….(5/16 steel ammo..)

Any insight appreciated......Thanks, g

All depends on your ammo size and draw length. What's easy for one person to pull maybe hard for another. Myself I don't like bands that are really easy to pull. I like a little resistance. Makes it more stable for me. Other people may not like that. Its what works for you is what matters.

Hi Boomslang,

Try a brand latex (SimpleShot Premium, Precise etc) at 0,4 - 0,45mm 20mm to 15 mm taper cut length about 180mm (mouth anchor) with a small (probably microfiber) pouch with 8mm steel tied with crystal string. This is not the strongest, but if you practice the needed hours your elbow will thank you. This is not a recipe, just a starting point, but gives less of a headache.

Have a great day,

Tremo
