Here is second sling..

A've stained this yin & also carved the bottom 1"+ o' the handle wi' a wee gouge, it's amazin' the additional grip ye get without grippin' hard here. Also added a (trial) single f.o. sight.

It'sa an early Birthday present fur ma' fishin mate

((A' stertit carvin' anither (bigger/thicker) yin yisterday p.m. .. it's lookin kinda Chalicey!))

Cheers! For the comments above Rich & Darrell, appreciated!

Here's a big wumpa'wid that's gaunnae take a lot o carvin'.

Since A' took the pic's earlier A've cut the fork lengths doon jist below where it's restin' oan the granite block, & filled a big natural void oan the inside o' the right fork.

A' jist finished the wumpa'wid (above.) It finished 4³/₁₆" (106mm) across the forks. Hence the black GZK bands are a bit short..need anither 10-15mm tae A.L. (Biggest sling A've made yit!)

Decided tae gouge the entire grip.. it's noo self adheres tae yer palm. :) Stained & s'glue feenish Hand made eye bolt (hivnae perfected makin' these yit..bit fiddly.)

The 'hing A' really like'taboot daein this sling is the minimal sandin' A did......tap front, tap flats & inside forks maistly, the rest by knife...although a must say "a huge amount o whitlin' !"
