I live in the high desert and most of the stuff I go after are Starlings, Pigeons, Ground Squirrels and an occasionally rabbits.
I have no problems using 5/16" for Starlings and Pigeons, but is 3/8" steel with a good shot doable size on game the size of a big Jack Rabbit or maybe opossum or raccoon ?
Would have sling set up for over 265 fps for sure. I like the 3/8" size as I can get it going fast enough to have a flat trajectory in the 30-35 yard range as desert shots are often that long !
