I haven't seen any .30 mm.

But there's a good chance he was shooting .030-inch natural latex. That's still available from Simple-Shot. That converts to a little over .75mm.

But, heck, if you're shooting 3/8-inch steel, I suspect any light latex tapered 3/4-inch to 3/8-inch, or even 5/8-inch to 3/8-inch would provide plenty of power for a short draw at close range. You could go narrower with lighter ammo, of course.

Well, Steve, the situation we're in now with latex could be likened to the old military term SNAFU - Situation Normal All Effed Up.

The Chinese are the leading manufacturers of latex. They use metric, so their products are in decimals of millimeters. A .50 thickness is half a millimeter thick. U.S. produced Hygenic latex is measured in parts of an inch - most commonly .030 or .040. It's sheer coincidence that the numbers seem close (except for the extra "0" in the inch measurements). But it is confusing. Gum rubber and Linatex is measured in fractions of an inch - 1/16, 3/32, etc.

But, we learn to deal with it, so we're not FUBAR - Effed Up Beyond All Repair.
