I used 3050 tubes for quite a while to shoot 8mm steel. I have a 32-in draw length anchored to the face and I used single tubes. I shot at 400% and this setup works for ⅜" steel at 10 meters. I also use this setup to shoot ¼" steel in the colder temperatures and it worked very well in this scenario as well.
I liked this setup better than 1842 because it was a lighter draw weight and with the thinner walls it had a faster retraction rate. I've also shot 1632 looped tubes with 8 mm and it worked great as well but did not last as long as the 3050.

What brand 3050 do you use? Where do you get it?
