Got myself a lee mould not long ago and some laed yesterday so today I gave it a go for the first time.
I didn't have a great deal of time to spend on the job but the ones I did do were poor. I read on another forum that keeping the mould itself warm helps. Any more tips or tricks which make casting easier or is it just a case of practice practice, practice?

What was wrong with the balls? Were they crinkly? I'm no expert but I think that means the mould is not hot enough.

When I cast, I warm the mould with a heat gun first and even then, the first few balls are always crinkly.

Hi ARB,
many thanks for the advice. I realise now that my mould was way too cool.

I will make a more determined effort over the next few days and hopefully get this casting malarky off to a T!
