Nice shooting . Is that the Professional model with the thicker size bore wall ? That's a real sturdy model that can be used as a walking stick .
Hello sir!!!! THANKS FOR WATCHING!!

Hope everything's fine

Well, you must be a mind reader LOL!!! I was thinking of talking to you about some blowgun questions and here you are!

Yes, this is the thicker size bore wall. Very sturdy indeed, a quality product. Although it has only 4 feet in length, the thick wall makes the caliber/length ratio pretty effective, in distances up to 20 meters.

But I'm planning to buy a 5 feet one, the same I saw in one of your videos. But I have some questions:

Does your 2-part Big Bore blowgun has a thick size bore wall?? What's its thickness??

And what about the connection of the 2 parts? Is it stable? Does not turn the blowgun crooked? Does the dart flight path suffers any deviation due to the connection?

THANK you in advance!!!

Nice blowing Q! My Pops always told me to eat what I kill. What's YOUR plan??!

LOL!!! I must have an iron stomach with acids inside to eat that tough plastic!!! :D

Well, when the time comes, I'll be ready to harvest some food, if necessary. Meanwhile, it's just only fun and games.

THANKS for watching, my friend!!

My friend that's some good shootn and an excellent set up. You have nice toys!
THANK you very much for watching, sir!!

I bought a bunch of plastic reptiles at the thrift store.

I found out this one was the most accurate looking one :) Poor fella, he suffered today.

But it is still in one piece!

Hello my friend!! THANKS for watching!!

Regarding the blowgun size, I've found out that the most accurate caliber-to-length ratio is 1cm caliber for 1meter in length (0.39 inches to 39.3 inches)

This blowgun is an exception to that ratio. Nevertheless, it still performs very well (probably due to being a big bore blowgun with a thick inner tube wall)

There's a vast array of homemade blowgun darts. You can make them from almost any material available.

Check some of my other blowgun videos, for ammo ideas. And, of course, explore Google!

Nice shooting with what really is a very effective hunting tool (where allowed, of course).

This particular blow gun has been on my list for a while, maybe it's time to order one. I have given the homemade variety a try with bamboo sticks and paper cones, which work quite well using 1 meter aluminum tubes. I Have yet to test darts made of bicycle wheel spokes.

Here is a video I made on this fun subject back in spring this year:

Hello dear sir!!!

THANK you so much for your reply!!

About your video, I was so DELIGHTED watching it!!!

Very well made, good footage and those blowguns are always fun!!! Even a small caliber one, with only push pins as ammo, packs a nasty punch. AWESOME!!

If I may be so bold, sir, I would recommend building a mouthpiece for the blowguns. It will increase its power, no doubt.

Best regards ...Q

My nephew Max has been practicing with his blowgun also. I'm glad he likes shooting
That's the way, my friend!!

Blowguns may represent a danger, when wrongly used. But they're also great therapy, agents of physical activity and they reinforce focus and concentration.

Best regards to you and to your nephew!!

The 3" or longer sewing needles work great also and they are killers. Heat the end and stick it into the plastic heads on the store bought darts. Let me know if you find better :)
Thanks for the feedback, my friend!!

Yes, I've used sewing needles in the past, on an homemade blowgun of mine.

I'm also interesting now in adding some weight to the bamboo skewers darts. Making a kind of a field tip to them. Bamboo darts are awesome in flight but they have to be constantly sharpened

Do you happen to know something I could use for that purpose?

I always just used a knife on the bamboo myself. It's plentiful but it does dull or shatter, I switched to the 3" needles back in the early 80's and still today they are my preferred for full penetration. I have a bunch of target darts from Cold Steel also and their old school plastic broad heads but the needles just do it for me :)
