Here's a funny slingshot story for you. Last fall, I cut a fork from Riverbank Grape. Strange stuff, water poured out of it! I mean like a faucet! After it dried for a few months, I turned it into a beautiful natty! It was going to be my late summer shooter. When finished, I placed it into a ziplock bag to help keep the bands fresh. When the time came to shoot it, I went to get it out of the box, and I saw the inside of the bag was covered with water vapor! At the Bottom of the bag was wood dust and a dried out worm or caterpillar! I checked out the slingshot, and there was a nice, perfectly formed worm hole! I just left it alone and love the way this slingshot shoots! I suppose, when you do up 185 naties, you can easily get one hiding a caterpillar! I saw no sign of it while making the slingshot.

Next time put it in the microwave oven . That will eliminated any squatters .

Hi, grapevine is an excellent source of water in the woods, just cut about a foot or longer section, and have a drink. Extremely clean its been filtered through the plant. Never thought about a natty though, looks nice.

Yes! The water was clean! I was glad to discover it! To get a natty, you have to find where a vine branches off into a Y.

When I made my very first boardcut 17 years ago, the wood board I have has some very tiny holes in certain places. Searched the net for suggestions, put in the freezer to kill any potential worms hiding inside.

I don't want a wooden slingshot that breaks gradually being eaten inside out!
