Looks really nice shaping!
Looks like osage orange. Not the easiest wood to work, but it is really strong!
No clue what the wood is. Some mystery stuff. It might be Osage. It's seems pretty strong. It's dense and despite it getting pretty narrow in the one spot I can't make it flex at all by squeezing the forks together.

That's a beauty!

I might have to try a CA finish some time. I don't really like working with it, but it looks like it is worth the effort!
Really not a fan of working with it either but it's the best looking finish I've been able to get. Been thinking about maybe trying some lacquers sometime to see if I can get something comparable at least.

That looks great :)
I that that perfect feeling, when I just look at it...
Great Job :headbang:
Makes me glad I messed it up in the first place. If I hadn't I wouldn't have ended up with this. flipgun said it right. Originally I was so bummed out. Thought it would end up too small after carving some more away to fix my mistakes. And it is a small little bugger. But I'm actually finding it quite a fine size to shoot.
