I've been busy making a few ergos lately...started out with the shop grade oak ply...and posted it on my FB wall and someone offered to buy it from me...when they posted it, one of their friends wanted one, and so on...I'm having fun making them...

I decided to buy some premium Grade Baltic Birch and I think they finish nicer...but I like the color of the oak ply, so I bought some poly stain that I'm gonna try.....I'm also making them in solid roasted birdseye maple... and roasted curly maple with raw maple cores...pics will be uploaded as they are done..

I'm planning on making every kid in my community a natural too. My indian reserve has a higher than normal rate of alcohol and drug abuse among Canadian first Nations communities on the east coast of Canada, so I'm hoping it will help keep the new generation of kids out of trouble...

The design is called "The Savage"...I originally named it "The Hunter" but someone said it looked "Savage" an it stuck...

The small one is aptly named "Li'l Savage" ....and it lived up to it's name when I smacked my thumb with a 5/8" catseye marble with it yesterday...

This design probably isn't what most people are looking for, but everyone in the local Native communities seem to be attracted to it...and it actually really comfy...ive been making them customized to fit individuals hands and adding a design of their choice....maybe they are just being supportive...but it's keeping me busy, as orders keep coming...best part is, I'm having fun, and introducing slingshots to others...and helping the hobby grow, one person at a time :)

These are a few of the finished ones...

(I really need a workshop....working on building a shed this summer)
