I was wondering if anyone has ever shot at empty aerosol cans (i.e. Lysol, shaving cream, spray paint, etc.). I know it says on the label not to puncture them but I was wondering if I could shoot at them without having them blow up and cause a very serious safety hazard?

I used an air rifle to shoot at an empty aerosol can unsure of how it would react I stood behind a barricade and from a distance of around 60ft took the shot It was a sight it went straight up 20 - 30ft, so that said I would not advise it as it could have gone anywhere.

ive shot a used deodrant can before with a bb gun, however the hole it made was more like a crack rather than a big puncture, the result wasnt spectacular, recently finished a can of deodrant and was planning on shooting it soon with my catty for a laugh, doesnt mean it'll be a good idea though...

For much fun put one pint of gasoline in a two gallon metal can.Let it set in the sun for awile to build up fumes and shoot with a .50 bmg rifle with API ammo.Crazy stuff.

The backstop is a steep bank of mother earth.You have to be carefull where you shoot a .50BMG.AP rounds will bounce off a slight slope.
