Diamond cloth

or this: Window Cleaning Cloth

to prefer for shooting with a ~100m/s steel ball?

Both are made from micro fibre, but which is supposedly stronger and more durable?

I don't know where to get solid mesh fabric for a good price here, and those cloths are on sale locally (aldi), so I could pick them up tomorrow. that's why I ask for.

I'm not convinced that you need either unless of course you really want to. There is a gazillion catch boxes out there with only an old folded up undershirt to catch the shot.

With older used cotton, the balls fly straight through. well, it's better to hang it very much rippled. it's really cheap, and it would fit nice in my new box...

I have used a curtain from the second hand shop (£3 for the pair) for well over 2year now and it's still in great condition 🎯👊👌 no need for anything else

Before I received my SS catchbox I had a temporary one made out of an Amazon box. I had an old recliner chair cover, so, quilted cotton probably 2.5x4’. I folded it up and pinned it in and it really worked well. I shot every ammo size I had at it and it never did get damaged.

I sometimes use old canvas drop cloths. The low grade ones get shot through but the plastic backed ones last a while. They aren't good enough to rec them over other stuff, but if you have some taking up space in the garage....

If you have any hides, I've been using an old bear hide and the hair absorbs most of the power from any steel and then it drops right down.
