Hi guys, i am thinking about making an ammo bag as a fun project.
So what are the features that you would like in an ammo bag?
Some of my ideas....
-Something that has a wide mouth and stays open when you want it to, but closes down small when done.
-Soft, collapses smaller as you use ammo, as opposed to a box shape that stays the same.
-Hangs from belt or belt loop, maybe clips to attach a shoulder strap.
-is somewhat self supporting, maybe a flat bottom so you could take it off your belt loop and sit it on a table, railing or stump and have it sit up and stay open.
Material? Leather? Paracord woven? Nylon or canvas? Mesh?
I was thinking of using a "gate mouth" style opening. It's a type of small handbag or purse frame that is like an accordion made out of metal and opens to about 3 inches. This is an example of what i mean. I wouldn't go with the disco gold bag, but attach something a little more utilitarian, lol. Though it would not be expected as an ammo pouch as an EDC, so maybe i'm onto something.
Anyhow, input is appreciated!
