Nice find Gary!!! Is that Birch? I thought it was maple at first, but when I enlarged the pic it looks more like Birch to me. I actually like Birch a lot!!!!

An Old 'Double Bander"

I picked this old Delong Ranger slingshot up the other day off E-bay. This was another slingshot from the early 60's that tried to obtain the success that the Wham-o was enjoying at the time. This was a "double banded" model. Double 3/8" wide gum rubber straps,1/16" thick. I have another one of these but this one looked unused so I went for it. I was right ,the slingshot wasn't even shot. Pouch all stiff no marks and bands clean but I won't stretch them-stock is mint to. A nice pick-up for a crazy slingshot guy! Flatband
