Yeah, I couldn't resist! This one is a straight framed- (no Ergo cut outs for bracing) OTT shooter. It has Tex's top dimensions, my bottom dimensions and the shape is a larger version of my new Pocket Shooter. This one is thick at 15/16" of an inch and there was only one crack (that I could see) and that was pinned. It was right in the groove for the tying material. This one is for a forum member. Love the shine this stuff takes! Flatband
Beautiful! I'm tempted once again to go out and hack off some ironwood branches myself, but it'll have to wait for a few months. 108 degrees here today, and probably 115+ in another few weeks...
Ooops, Gary, I wanted to reply to your post and clicked on "Edit" instead.... mod rights have their disadvantages. Sorry for that!
Gary said that the iron wood is smelly (and it is!), that he did seal the wood to repair tiny cracks, and that he plans to use a variation of the iron wood called copper wood... as far as I remember (I am embarrased)
