My first time using tubes. When I got my tubes 1745 1842 and 2040 I thought these are whimpy. Put them on 3:5 psuedo taper. The pouch was a little small for 3/8 steel or smaller. Shot the 3/8ths and the hand slap was pretty nasty. Used marbles and the slap was still there. They move fast enough I can't track them. After about 50 shots the slap decreased or maybe my hand was getting numb. Also was able to split a steel soup can. I don't have soda or aluminum. Accuracy was there after I got used to it. I learn something new every day. May have to get the chrony out to see how fast they are moving.

Have you tried gypsy tabs, I had trouble with one of my slings giving me slaps and they solved my issue. You have a good attitude about the whole thing though. I hope you get this figured out. There are a lot easier/better was of hurting yourself. I think you could have more fun with slingshots and not get hurt, unless your in to that kinda of fun. :banghead:

I didn't know anyone else was whipping tabs on! I was shooting this little oak today. Too green to work at this point, but a great shooter!

OOPS!

Took another look at your photo.

Your tabs are secured with wrap and tuck (#32s?).

I whipped these on today because - wild hair! - Covid 19! - Monday! - Barometric Pressure!

I learned to whip rope ends in scouts half century ago. I tried on one frame and failed. I needed to wax the sting to give it some tackiness. I might try it again if I come across the chuck of beeswax that is here somewhere.
