Henry, thank you very much, your info is very, very helpful.I consider looped 1842 too much rubber for 3/8 steel. You may finds this chart of interest. Full draw for me is 34 inches. Note that 2040 and 1842 are very close in performance, and that, at 30 inches draw, you have to shoot 1/2 inch lead for looped 1842 to show any advantage over looped 2040.
