Handle scales are mesquite and the palmswell is pecan Tool Wood Gesture Foot Wing

That's perfect, and being made out of ash -- my favorite wood -- it's even better than perfect. Top slots make it cool, too.

Thanks Guys , Dayhiker and treefork I finally did the top slots on three different ones. I like that method.

hey Jim could you snap a pick of the tree you are getting these off? Not sure exactly what an ash tree looks like.

hey Jim could you snap a pick of the tree you are getting these off? Not sure exactly what an ash tree looks like.
This one came from a creek area close to the empire ranch east of Sonoita hwy. Google az ash, lots of pics.
