So yesterday I grabbed my favorite fork, a GZK Feihu, for a little practice. As happens to all of us sooner or later a fork hit. Bad news is the ball hit the web of my hand. Good news my flesh prevented a ding on a beautiful fork! It was a bad hit, probably could have used a couple of stitches. Half dozen band aids later and all is well.

Oh yeah, fork is fine. Hand is on the mend. Tried shooting today and a little sore - had to give it up; take a few days I guess.

I pretty much don’t remember the assorted slingshot related injuries I’ve suffered through the years but I do remember the slingshots I’ve ruined and the passenger side mirror, the passenger side window...

Guess I've been lucky never hit my own flesh! I've had fork hits and errant fliers but only with pfs type slingshots never with wider gap slingshots. Sorry for your pain. How wide is the gap on that one?

There are very few of us that don't have that mark. Just wait until you get that perfectly round 3/8" blood blister in the middle of your thumb nail. That's a gift that keeps on giving for days.

Eleven years of odd slingshot designs, pouch designs, full and half butterfly cutting and shooting and ironing out a decent pouch release has left its scars. That web injury really hurts.
Take care and get back on that horse! (I've had to beat down post-injury flinches several times through the years.). Good luck!

A tad less than 2 inches

Ouch! Yeah, that can put a bit dampener on shooting for a while. Did you rush your shot I wonder?

I think that is exactly what I did.

That's why ! And I'm to old and slow to rush a shot so I've never been hit,maybe a good side to being slow one old!
