A-O!

I made these about a month or so ago, figured I would throw up some pics.

The first is a Chalice made from a bamboo cutting board I scored at ross for a couple bucks, with a 1/8th inch piece of baltic birch ply for the center.

The second is a mini-ting put together with a walnut/birch/walnut blank I had laying about and a piece of "scrap bin mystery awesome wood".

The Chalice is finished with slightly oily work rag residue and some Johnson's floor wax, and the mini has no finish at all. These were both made with the intention of keeping and I just didn't feel like putting on a proper finish. Maybe later.

I absolutely love the Chalice. It only took me about 8 months to get around to building one, and boy am I glad I did. Great design.

Thanks for looking!

If I was living in N.C. I'm sure I'd be a very different person -- some of that great knowledge and skill that seems to be in your dna down there might have seeped in from the drinking water or something. I actually wanted to retire to there but the wife wouldn't hear of it.
