Has anyone ever used a flap disc for smoothing aluminum slingshot cores?

Well that be a little aggressive lol like a 4 inch grinder with flap dish ?Not sure u have an angle die grinder and a compressor that keep up u can get 2 inch sanding disks and a arbor to except them work good for small stuff and get the 2 inch fibre disks to level off is the cats meow but a dremel with sanding drum works ok to just the grit might not hang around all that long on them .Or just a good old half round file and emery cloth .the file gets gummed up with aluminum just have keep it cleaned out does that help u any tag .I can see bad things happening with the 4 inch grinder .

Thanks, I was just looking for an easy way out I’ve got all winter to finish this project, so emery cloth and file it is.

One thing to consider is a good vice and a wire brush... and varies levels of files.

Every 30 or 40 cuts in one direction try brushing out your files. It will actually speed up the process. Clean teeth bite better.
