good day today, out for a walk before my knee opp tomorrow and stumbled across a few gems,

including a SPALTED YEW FORK!!!

some others, check out the heartwood.... magical timber

some chunky Oak forks and a nice little palmswell size burl on a recently fallen branch... couldn't leave it

and 4 nice looking rhododendrum forks, one with what appears to be also spalted

enormous mate, they normally carry beer, catty, ammo, skinning knife, pocket sword, torch, folding saw, phone and keys too

I know this sounds schmaltzy but I swear it's true: my heart actually started beating faster at the sight of those yew forks. They will end up as some real beauties in your hands, too.

And those oak forks are none too shabby either. I get ones like that a lot. They always make awesome frames.

Good luck with your knee, mate. I hope you put aside a lot of sanding and polishing to keep you busy while you're healing.
