I like this hickory slingshot.
Sometimes there are certain slingshots, that you want to keep.
Made for a BIG guy...This hickory heartwood, can take some use.
Almost 3 in. between the forks , and a deep throat, she can shoot marbles, rocks, and serious dimensional ball ammo, accurately. (tested by me).
Besides that.....this is some of the best hickory I have ever worked with.

I love the slingshots capable of shooting larger/ersatz ammo. In fact, that's almost all I make anymore. I like your slingshot and I feel someone on this forum should buy it......get out of your comfort zone everyone......try something you haven't before. Dayhiker PM'd me the same message and sent me a board cut, which to me was not exactly my favorite kind of slingshot. Now it's one of my absolute favorites of all time.

Get out there and learn how to shoot pebbles, marbles, and hex nuts. Different than shooting perfect lead and steel all day long, but extremely satisfying. Set yourself up with BB's strong piece here or make one yourself and try something new.

BB, I love the hickory and it's one of my favorite woods to make naturals with. Great use of some great wood and I hope that one gets a good home out there in Slingshot World.

I have never worked with hickory. But since it is supposed to be even stronger than ash, I'd like to try some someday. Man, it looks real nice, too! That is a great slingshot!

Hi Tom,
That looks great. BTW, I love the pics of the 'three amigos' that you made for myself and my amigos. Big forks also, and I already bought a bunch of marbles to use with them. They seem perfect for introducing a couple of buddies to the joys of slingshots. Once they use the marbles for awhile, I'll see what they think of big lead.

I like working with hickory. Very straight grained wood, and very dense, which also makes it most durable. I think after the holidays I will make more of these hickory big frame slingshots. I need one for myself

Tom, I have just found out that this hobby can get expensive just on the postage fees in trades. I spent about 35 bucks today just in postage. And because it's right after Christmas, I am already out of funds for slingshot stuff this month. I think I will probably buy one of these from you in the future.

. . . On another note, if you are open to a trade, I am soon gonna post a plywood tribute to you. I will trade the prototype and the pattern for one of those if you are willing .

only time will tell.
