I reuse bandsets that break at the pouch end (and they almost always do with tapered bandsets). They usually get a second life as a TTF bandset for me because I use a shorter draw length for TTF. Otherwise they can be harvested for band tying strips though I prefer to use the tying elastic ribbons from China because I can get a neat set-up with it. I have no qualms about tossing used rubber though because they are meant to be an inexpensive consumable... And I reuse pouches till they can no longer be safely mounted on a bandset.
