Butter knife conversion

After watching Murray Carters videos, I wanted to see how good my skillset is getting. Here is a butter knife that has been sharpened to push sharp. Excuse the centre. I missed a little spot. You can see a small piece of the serrated edge left.

For anyone interested in knives Murray Carter is one of the best teachers I have seen.

Thank you Slingshot28,

It was a little experiment. A mill bastard file to get the profile to shape and primary edge. A rough and a smooth oil stone. I am not 100% sure what their grades are, very old over 40 years. Then onto a two sided stop (smooth and smoother) with metal polish as a stropping compound.

Murray Carter is great guy. He learnt Japanese just to serve a apprenticeship in Japan to learn to be a blade technician. Once you watch that video a few times and practice for a week or so you will learn. It won't take years, maybe a good solid week.
