Made my first OTT slingshot that isn’t 3D printed. Bought a blank from Pocket Predator and laminated some woven carbon fiber plate to both sides. Added several brass rods to pin them together. It’s not perfect, but it was a fun little project over the past several days. Shoots pretty well and it’s comfortable to hold.

I think you did great! I made one as well that looks really good from about an arm length away! Working those little angles was tough. I have been practicing my makery for about a year and a half, and this was a bugger for sure!

That looks great! I bet the wood panel really fills in the hand and helps make shooting heavier bands more comfortable. While I do like the smaller frames for ease of pocketing, I find they do not handle heavier bands well due to less real estate for the hand.

Indeed. Shooting 'flat' frames hasn't worked out very well for me. I think it is primarily and 'older hand' problem thus the need for swells to help relax my grip.

Thanks guys! Now I have to make a small repair from a frame strike. 0.50” steel ball caught the tip of the left fork and dented the aluminum leaving a sharp edge that will likely cut a band.
