I think you did great! I made one as well that looks really good from about an arm length away! Working those little angles was tough. I have been practicing my makery for about a year and a half, and this was a bugger for sure!

That looks great! I bet the wood panel really fills in the hand and helps make shooting heavier bands more comfortable. While I do like the smaller frames for ease, I find they do not handle heavier bands well due to less real estate for the hand.

Indeed. Shooting 'flat' frames hasn't worked out very well for me. I think it is primarily and 'older hand' problem thus the need for swells to help relax my grip.
