Last week I went out cast netting shrimp gave some to one if my older neighbors that don't get out much and some to a friend I hunt with cooked and ate some and put up about 2 gallons for later.

It's been years, but we used to do this around coastal Mississippi, usually around lights at night. We grew up around the water and I learned to throw a cast net at a pretty early age. I have lots of good memories from those times. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah me to cedar key is a island in the gulf of Mexico it's where I grew up and I live just on the main land and have put a many a meal on the table with a cast net the only thing is now a days it's hard to find a good cast net with out paying a fortune and the last time I made my own I was 13 and my dad was showing me how and fixing my mistakes
