Works very well cold and dry, by Cold I mean not cured just rolled and left for a few mins they splat and stick to things. Fully set they work great a little on the light side but good for the price.
Cool. I use clay from time to time. I find it very light too, like great for practice, but now I also load them with hex nuts & bake which adds some weight. Happy shooting.
This ammunition should provide a quite spectacular effect if a well dried and hardened large ball hits a rock or similar hard target! It should burst into a hundred shards in a big cloud of dust.
I like clay for when I am shooting in places I do not want to lose ammo or pollute. So for example when I go ice fishing I make a ton of clay balls to shoot while I wait for flags.
