I shaped with a hand saw and then tried a quick diferential normalizing. But the steel, although it reads Carbon Steel is really very low carbon, super soft and won't take any hardness. I rarely use it to cook, rather use my japanese 59-60-61 Rockwell knifes. Just an exercise.
