Hey mates, so as some of you knay, I shoot clay ammo almost exclusively. So while looking to restock my supplies, I came across a sale on Amazon where they had 3000 10mm shots for $20. I typically spend around 15 for 1.5k so seemed like a really really good deal and I bought one. Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but seemed like to good of a deal not to share. I don't have a link but searching "clay ammo" popped it up as the 5th or so item.

That's a pretty good deal. I usually purchase the lighter tan color clay ammo for better visibility. On my last order they mistakenly sent me black instead of tan. ☹
I am with you there, once I ordered green thinking it would be easy to see, but it was the exact green as the lawn and I would loose almost immediately lol. Sometimes I buy Play-Doh and make my own using a boilie roller, works okay and is easy to see lol.

If you like clay ammo you can make you own in any size you want if you buy the clay yourself,

You can buy 50lb of clay for around $25 + tax with free shipping at Walmart:

Red clay

Warm Brown

White clay

Cream white

After you make your ammo you can just dry it in the sun for a day or two (especially now in the summer).

This is the cheapest 50lb of clay on the market I could find in the past 2 months.

Using this ammo weight chart (https://www.slingshotcommunity.com/threads/ammo-weight-and-energy-charts.815/) from 1 pound (453.5 grams) of clay you can make:

375 10mm clay balls(10mm clay ammo weighs 1.2 grams)

225 12mm clay balls (12mm clay ammo weighs 2.0 grams)

140 14mm clay balls (14mm weighs 3 .2 grams)

...

It does not get any cheaper than that, at less than $0.5 per pound of clay.

That is a hell of a deal mate. I occasionally use Play-Doh and sometimes get clay from the river. I use a boilie roller for carp bait and make some. Might be the best way now with the info you posted.

Jacoza - thanx for posting about the Amazon rabbit droppings - a 3000 count order arrives on the day my prime expires, lol.

I've found a pretty good deal on ebay. Got some dark brown clay balls and they were fine. Then I found the light brown/tan and they are even better. Very uniform in shape and weight. They are 3/8 and weigh 1.7 grams each. They are .5 grams heavier than the dark drown. They only cost $19.99 for 4000 balls! Free shipping and they throw in a heavy tube bandset. I had previously ordered 1000 and got them in two days. If anyone is interested, look for the clay balls sold by epicpeakgearusa.
