[Quercusuber]

Hello SlingshotForum friends!!

Here's a latest shooter I've carved out of a natural piece of cork oak wood (Quercus suber)

Although it has a reasonable bulky handle, it is quite pocketable. It was finished with linseed oil and natural beeswax.

In the pictures, it is equipped with a 1.7cm X 1.2cm X 26cm Theraband set, for glass marbles.

Another beauty Q, this Cork Oak has some amazing grain to it, but that last one you did from Cork Oak is my all time Favorite of yours.
It looked like the handle end was Like a bamboo root, and was simply stunning

And yes, I remember the last piece you're referring. I left a bit of its bark simply and sanded it in the same fashion as wood material. Its bark is actually cork, hence the "root effect" you were saying.

There's nothing too special into it. Just a passion to see a simple branch turning slowly into a slingshot frame.
