Hi all. I've just set my stinger up with some 1842 singles to try with some 8mm steel and clay for tomorrow. I've seen a lot of people use cuffs made out of a larger tube at the fork when using wrap and tuck for single tubes. I was just wondering what the purpose of this is?

I think it slows down the wear on the tube. The larger tube takes the friction of pulling over the fork.
