Finally the board dried and got to test it on a frame blank i had waiting for it.
It turned out great, really solid and easy to work with. Besides the dust
Going to give this a try this month. Thought I'd bump this post so it'll get more folks interested. I'm a little scared of the dangers of the epoxy some people mentioned, it's pretty gnarly stuff. But I'm excited.
Oh that's interesting... not quite a twist but the same sort of effect! Knife making seems like an interesting hobby too, but I'm sure my wife will stab me if I bring it up >.>
Just wanted to say thanks to ZDP for putting this together. Given the difficulty in sourcing sheets of G10 or Micarta large enough to make frames I'm going to be trying this method soon!
Any special or favored resins for this? I want to try a Lexan and micarta build. Being in Canada I may have a job finding specific resins used but any info will be a boon
