So my shooting it progressing nicely. My accuracy and consistency, therefore my confidence as well, has improved to the point where I am able to shoot at longer distances in my yard. Took out my MPG (MakoPat Gapper) and some clay balls. At 25 feet I did a good job quickly cutting this can. Cut the bottom off and almost got it cut completely again before I ran out of ammo.

Then I got a new can and stepped back to 32 feet. Took a few shots to get dialed in (mostly windage, height was pretty spot on) and missed a bit more, but happy with the results!

Great shooting. I am starting to see some improvement too. It's a great feeling for sure. I haven't tried a can again. Only tried when I first started and could barely hit it.

My advice, based on my experience, is to get yourself a couple thousand clay balls and shoot a LOT! I've tried several variations of every part of shooting slingshots. When you change something, give it several tries before you accept it as a positive change, or drop it like a bad habit. Again, the secret to me was to stop fiddling around with things, start close to your target, good backstop to take the worry out of the equation, and shoot 100-200 shots per session. Don't be afraid to change things, but only change one thing at a time. You can't force an anchor point that doesn't suit your style to work for you. Try another. But don't try a different anchor and new release at the same time, you won't know which worked or not. Etc.You'll start to find what works and what doesn't. When you get some consistency and settle on stance, grip, anchor and release, then refine your selection of bands/tubes, pouch and ammo. Then it's just a matter of fine tuning. Took me about three months to settle on what works for me. Hope this helps a bit and remember to just have fun!
