Ok got my dankungs a few days ago. The black bands are such poor quality that they develop holes. Luckiliy I ordered extra but this is ridicilous spent 30 mins on the sling plinking and now the 3rd band has a hole.

Is this normal ? or should I look into other bands.

Are the holes near the fork?If yes there might be some rough edge on the fork tip.Anyway its not normal tubes should last few thousand shots as I know.

Nope the holes are appearing 2-3 inches below the leather pouch.

In the last 2 days, I have gone thru 2 bands shooting 30 mins a day.

I have the BI-THOR Had the same problem with the tubes that slide through the ears but in the fixed set I have shot for hours at a time well over 1000 rounds not shure what caused the holes on the other set

In my experience, no it isn't normal-I'm on my second set combined w/two dankungs. Just under 20# of ball has flipped through them in a month. Are you stretching them to the limit or over-drawing them? Many have complained that they are too short which would exacerbate band life.

Nope no over stretch here. I sent an email to Tim at dankung and he said that perhaps quality could be bad. So I'm trying to work with them. He wants to send me bands with next order but here I'm left with bad bands!!!! Next order ???? That's nuts!!!

Kind of tricky to offer a replacement with another order

if there is a possibility they are of bad quality he should send a replacement set. Bands are a wear item so check the slingshot well for any nicks in the ears & forks with a magnifying glass or they new ones won't last either . I have an order due to arrive in a few days - custom sized catty and tube/pouches - if you can hold out a few more days(week?!

) I could spare a few meters of tube, that is if you want 1745 and can attach your pouch to it....or.... Some have ordered tube from places like Reef Scuba as they do have tube that is very close in dimension and are stateside.

i had a batch of bad tubes, 2040, defective from fabric. as soon as I advised Tim he sent me some replacement for free. I believe it is not his fault because e he produces forks but he buy rubber from malayesia ore somwhere else in the worl and rubber is very untsable. Just speack with him. In my experience he is a good fellow

Their tubings have very long band life.

Emails have gone back and forth and Tim will be sending replacement and some tubing. Thank you guys.

Skit - thanks for your offer bud! . Hopefully I get mine within a week. I'll also check for nicks on the ears like you said. I didn't think of that. May be that's why the chinese use a flip! Rubber tubing never touches the ears.
