Interested to see how you think they compair.
They should fly without twisting one would think.
Can you shoot exact same dart with and without
and post accuracy findings please?
I have settled on half cut , 15
Cm, cold steel as staight as can find out of 50 bamboo.
For my 10 m target into thick strofoam does the job.
Just for fun used scrap 16 mm ID tube from 1.5 m
to a yard exact.
Again the power shooting lite darts is fun for short
distance and easier to carry on hikes with
fav Sling Shot.

What are you thinking the fletching will do to help the dart?
The cold steel darts that I use seem to fly straight and seem to be very stable.
I wonder if the fletching will slow the dart down, keep us updated, it will be interesting to see how well they preform.

Yes kind of had the same thought as Hoss. Not sure how the fletchings will help the dart fly better. But that's what experimentation is for to see what happens. Could do a lot better in windy situations who knows?

I have some 3/16-in diameter carbon fiber tubing coming in the next couple of days. Hoping to see if they fly better than my wooden dowels do? Probably just wasting my money but again it'll be a fun experiment to see if I can get them to fly straighter especially if I put a little bit of JB weld down the end of it to give the nose a little more stability. I found that some of my dowels don't fly straight in the wind.

Let us know the results.

Cheers
