Can you make a video on using split lead shot? Similar to slit shot weight for fishing lures, take a soft lead ball and cut deep slits into the ball, but still have a sphere shape I'd like to know if the impact will allow the lead to deform along the slits flaring out to maximize damage. You can have different configurations in the slit depth and different orientations of the slits.

Lastly,

Can you make a sling shot that uses coil springs instead of flatbands?

Thanks and keep up the good work.

It's hard to obtain split shot which are actually made of lead, moreover they're incredibly expensive...

It would likely not. The velocity isn't there, and even if it were it just wouldn't open up I bet. It would just smash flat if hit something hard. Might split though if it hit just right and we were talking firearm like velocities, but even then it would be obscure and inconsistent. Stick with a round ball.

If you could use a lighter outer shell such as aluminium and then fill with heavier ammo such as lead then fire into ballistic gelantine if what im expecting to happen is correct the lighter shell should not penertrate as far as the lead therefore if you almost made pockets for the lead once it hits something the lead should carry on but not the outer shell, if this is correct this could cause serious damge to anything it hits
thanks
