We have been installing new windows in our house, yesterday, some how I managed to slice two of my fingers open on my right hand. 20 stitches total, and both fingers in splints.
So no slingshots for at least two weeks.

So sorry to see this, man.

Heal up. '2 weeks at least' is a long time without shooting... BUT you have the forum and Youtube videos of slingshots.

Maybe you can fork hunt.

I'm 61 years old and worked as a Millwright Machinery erector for 32 years before retiring, I have also been doing carpentry work since my early teens, my dad was a carpenter and built house and also done remodeling work. In all the years that I've done this type of work I've never had any kind of accident at all. I guess no matter how careful you are sooner or later you're susceptible to have an accident.
I consider myself to be very blessed, the doctor said my fingers in time will heal with no disability from them. What I mean by blessed is I could have lost my fingers or the use of them. VERY BLESSED!

Thanks very much for the uplifting comments.

StringSlap posted "Sorry to hear that! Hope you heal up quickly. Saw a video of a guy with one arm. Held the pouch with his teeth He was shooting great. You're just being lazy!

As a dentist I'd really like to encourage this. Sounds like there's money to be made!

This would be a great time to learn how to shoot ambidextrously. It comes in really handy sometimes.

It could be worse.

Back in 1962 my twin brother was watching his woodshop teacher demonstrate how not to use a bandsaw when he accidentally cut off two of his fingers in front of the kids.

Bob spent 40+ years as a shipwright and always used a push stick????

I can't use my hand right to do anything, it's to tender. My index finger was cut down to the bone and my middle finger is cut through the bone, that's why I have the splints, they don't want me to bend them or lift anything. I'll be glad when I get through this for sure.

I can shoot with ether hand but I do better holding the slingshot in my left hand, I'm right eye dominant.

Well I got some of my stitches out today, they wouldn't take all of them out. I still have to wear the splints, they said that the xrays showed both fingers have bone fractures. O well, it is what it is, I'll just keep on keeping on.

That’s a tough one but it sounds like you’re you’re making progress. You did a serious number on your hand. Scary stuff.

Chicks dig scars, glad it’s only cosmetic and nothing that effects the mechanics. Get well quick

I haven't been able to shoot for over a month because I fell down the stairs and messed up my rotator cuff. So I'm going through the same sorta thing in a way. Here's to us both recovering soon and being able to shoot again! I think I'm about ready to band up something real light and shoot some BBs for awhile I think... Or rather I hope.

I hope you get better soon, a rotator cuff injury can be painful.

Thanks. You too! I'm thankful that's the only thing I messed up. Things could always be worse.
