I have a Dankung "Ergo" wire loop frame slingshot that was set up for double black tubes. Drawing 4 of the black tubes is little much for my aging shoulders. Preferring flat bands I thought for a few days how to fix flat bands in the eyes of the wire loop frame.

Probably someone has already done this. So this might not be anything new. Or the right forum to place it in. If so my apologies.

Local hardware store provides the solution.

By a couple of 1/2" (small end diameter) rubber plug for $0.23 each.

Place about 3/4" of your flat band into frame and secure it rubber plugs.

Done. Tried and proven cheap fix.

@ desert drifter: one of the enduring slingshot mysteries is why Dankung and many Chinese vendors include that useless, too short, 4 strand tube set with a frame purchase. Even Hercules would grunt during that draw weight. Many westerners will convert it to a set of singles, or discard it and make up their own. My wife uses them to tie back outdoor curtains on the patio.

A.E.M. I don't understand that either. After 60 years of traditional archery and slingshots my drawing shoulder has about had it. I recently picked up a slingshot made by the TOPS Knives co. It came with a with single black tube (to match the finish of the frame) I guess. But it was too strong for me. I replaced it with a set of Marksman red, standard weight tubes. After I research the forums threads to see if there has been a review on the TOPS slingshot I'll write a review on it.
