Eat, Sleep, Shoot, Repeat.....

Greetings,

I am very new to slingshots. I have not slingshot since I had a Wrist Rocket as a kid and could not kit ca-ca at a political convention......

Last year I returned to the bow mostly cuz I wanted to master something and there is an extraordinary public range on my way to work. I took a bit to get my mojo back, but for a $40 25lb bare bow I am pleased, but sort of on a plateau right now. I suppose I could buy a better bow with a rest and button, but I come from a long line of Scottsman, and married to and Irish woman whom pennies fear, so spending $$$$ on "toys" is a.... erhm...... well that is not what we do.

For whatever reason I landed on some of Fowler's videos and was sort of blown away, then started soaking up Nathan Masters stuff..... I was/am blown away by the potential precision and the low bar for having and accurate rig.

So here I am, half a 5-gallon bucket of 3/8" steel shot, and eagerly waiting the delivery of my first professionally built frame.

To date I am blazing my own path as far as style goes. I have been mastering a completely new technique: Not OTF, or TTF, or PFS...... I call it TTH.

Trough the Hand >.>

Cheers

Why yes, yes I can.

Pull to full draw..... Roll the pouch.

Pretend you are a badass.

Release, and make the Godzilla noise as your thumb becomes a sacrifice to the slingshot gods.

Welcome! You are right,.it don't cost much to be a good shot. 90% is technique. They are plenty of going shooters on here that just went out pulled a fork off the tree and KO a rabbit from 30 feet, no problem.

Howdy, from one new slingshooter(slingshotter?) to another!

I'm also a traditional archer and longbow hunter, making my way to the small steel, but I honestly have no interest in giving up my bows. No matter how much I learn to enjoy a slingshot, there is still something special about slinging arrows from a stick and string...
