I know that UV, Ozone, Hydrocarbons, etc can greatly damage latex based bands. How much does temperature effect band material. I'm using Precise .75. It's HOT in Alabama now and I don't carry much rubber with me, but I can't always bring my SS indoors during the day. Everything is completely covered, so no UV issues, but what is the 140° car interior heat doing to my bands? So far anecdotally, I'm not having bands tear and am getting hundreds of shots out of a set. Other than keeping a cooler with ice in my car what's the best way to deal with this? Thanks in advance!

Weakening the bonds that make it snap back. It'll break on you before it's time, without warning.

That is the best way. Or use tubes.

Oh.. and I've heard talcum powder is supposed to save your bands. Might as well try that too.
