What happens when an LBS grows wings and a booty? This is my latest mess-around with what I enjoy shooting. I love the LBS' magical fork and gap (credit for the original LBS design goes to Joey Jfive Lujan) but I also love Feihus with their recurve ergonomics… So I took a stab at combining the two and ended up with this.

It's about the size of an axiom champ. Something small and stable that I can enjoy for extended target punishing sessions. I don't know if it might resemble some other frame's design and if it does, I apologize for the coincidence. Owing to its curves that remind me of supercars, I've nicknamed this my "Enzo".

Also completed a skatedeck OPFS at the same time. Messed around with a dye, my first time doing this and it didn't work out quite so well but heck, I think it'll still shoot...

Thanks for taking a look!

Looks like some very nicely nuanced shooters there. A thoughtful take on the LBS/ Feihu. Is the width across the forks Feihu inspired? I’ve been making a bunch of naturals based on it and find it a very pleasing 67.5 mm. Think it was you in an old post that got me thinking about Feihu and the narrow fork width and how it gives you a clear sight picture of the target. That phrase changed my whole approach to shooting. Love the colour in the OPFS too.

Thanks Rosco... The fork tip widths and fork gaps are exactly LBS though I would say it isn't far off from a Feihu. I probably love the LBS so much because the shooting dynamics is very similar to a Feihu. If you enjoy feihus you'll take to the LBS very naturally!

@matt & @SLINGINSHOT - thanks guys. To be honest, a few frames ago I didn't know what clean meant but I am learning now to sand to a point of clarity, carefully removing all of the progressive scratches from the previous grit and going back a grit if I have to when a cloudy low spot appears (...if I catch it that is!). It's a lot more work but I am learning as I go and my OCD tendencies tends to keep me going!
