Had a couple days with the F-16 sent to me by Tobor8man and am very surprised at how accurate and fun it is to shoot. Honestly it doesn't look like much, very old school and plastic handle just doesn't look like it would hold up to today's standards of quality slingshots. Boy was I wrong!? Put some 1632 tubes on it and very first shot hit that 40mm spinner! This is a very accurate slingshot and very comfortable to hold and shoot right out of the gate. I was on the mark without any sites while trying to figure out my aiming point. I lashed on a 1mm fiber optic rod and got ready to really know the F-16.
Within 25 shots and getting the fiber-optic set up perfectly I was able to hit 9 out of 10 shots on a 40 mm spinner!! That is very good for me even with my expensive Titanium Chinese slingshot.

Tube attachment could not have been easier. I rolled back some big fat tube and just laid the 1632 directly on the metal rod and rolled the latex over the top of it. The tube held solid with no slippage.

I am now a believer, thank you Tobor for the most excellent care package I could have hoped for. I found 2 slingshots that you sent me that will definitely be in rotation that are super fun to shoot. Both will increase my accuracy and help me to get used to other slingshots since I have been so dedicated to only shooting my Chinese slingshot.

Cheers

And....there goes Brother Vince down the F-16 rabbit hole.

To paraphrase Obi Wan: An elegant slingshot for a more civilized age.

You may want to put some tape over the fork ends. I cut them off at the factory bend with a hack saw (I definitely put the hack in hack saw) and did some rough filing - there may be some burrs or other rough spots that will tear your tubes.

Looking forward to your future F-16 mods.

I cut my F16 at that same place and bent it down. Seems to be an effective mod!
