As a sequel to AaronC's poll (instinctive vs aimed), I'm curious to see some stats on people's position preferences.

As of this writing, I'm shooting 'Standard Horizontal'.

 

I'm in between vertical and horizontal. If I find myself in a slump, I will vary the position to tune my shot.

 

I added an extra choice for you, Jim.

 

Actually, there are alot of shooters that canter the frame at an angle when shooting. This would be the catagory I would fall in to. I only mix it up when I fall into a slump.

 

Vertical instintive for me. Can't hit a thing when i try horrizontal.

 

Depends on which slingshot I am using that day. Dankung=horizontal, natural=instinctive rock shooting, bb shooter=vertical.

Having mostly been a hunter and plinker, and also heavily influenced by the Southern Flip Style of my family I use verticle most. However, shockingly, I have been known to, without warning, use a horizontal, canted, butterfly or anything else that hits my fancy that I can dream up at the moment!!!

i have never shot hammer grip or vertical. i shoot horizontal with my pointer and thumb on the forks. it's super comfertable to me and i think i will always shoot that way

 

I have always shot like this too.

 

FYI...I crunch up my tacos on a plate, and eat them with a fork.

 

Vertical and horizontal plus every other style depends on what slingshot really. Hunting and target shooting are totally two different styles but i do like to mix it up.

I'm only good with horizontal at very short distances.

Looks like horizontal standard to me. Same way I shoot, although I'm in the 21% minority of the public that's predominantly lefty.
