Looking for durable spinners (6cm to 2cm)….Anybody found anything better than the orange silicone ones?

In my experience, they hold up pretty well, but eventually succumb to 3/8" steel...….

The chinese microfiber ones usually hold up better than the chinese rubber ones. Thick leather is pretty durable spinner material as well. A metal spinner will probably last a long time. I've seen metal spinners constructed from old spoons, those look fun.

i use old spoons,just heat the handles and bend them around a 1/2 in rod [or whatever size your catchbox rod is] and they last for a good while

I like the orange, silicon targets and the microfiber ones from AliExpress
The microfiber ones are probably more durable than we are. That being said, I followed Treefork's suggestion and used some tubes to hang my spinners, and the silicon ones became immortal, even with fast 3/4 butterfly shooting. The only thing that can really destroy them fast, is the sun, but they are so cheap that it really doesn't matter.

Can't recommend Wasp spinners enough. I've found them night and day better than the orange silicone ones - orders of magnitude more durable. Not even a fair comparison

Targets are consumable items. They're cheap. Buy a bunch and replace as needed. I like using plastic whiffle golf balls with clay ammo. They're just okay as far as durability but they are cheap and a lot of fun.

The orange whiffle golf balls only last a few hits with steel ammo.

I’m always shootn heavy stuff so the plastic spinners never lasted long but these micro fiber ones seem to hold up well.

Mounting them on tubing rather than taught on a cord helps their life expectancy. Another recommendation for Wasp Spinners or the layered microfiber/ leather ones. The layered ones do make the better sound lol

A piece of leather (this is full grain from Saddle and Drink on Amazon, only a couple mm thick) with a piece of Tupperware lid in the middle gives a nice snap when you connect and believe it or not this thing has taken a good number of hits from 7/16" steel. Then you can even make whatever size you'd like

Wasp spinners... especially the newer ones with the improved material are what I would go for. I would say they are more satisfying to hit than the silicone spinners. You can get a good thwack on contact. But if you are looking for something more quiet, then go for the microfiber targets. I agree with Stevekt that targets are consumable items and the tip to mount them with tubes is really the best advice. The trick is to ensure that they spin freely when hit. They wont last very long if they snag on the backstop or twist.

I gotta go with leather too. It is the most durable target I've found so far. I use the stuff I deem too thick for pouches. This one is about as thick as a belt, with a stitch of 50# fishing line.

But I haven't shot it much since I started getting those silicon ones from dankung free with my orders. That orange shows up real well in a dimly lit catch box.
