Fimo seemed like such a good idea. Perfict fit and all, but this is a fail. The most hand slapping random shooting slingshot that I have ever made. I have tryed a few diferent ways if attaching the bands, but still cant get any consistancy out of this frame. any ideas?
ouch! try rotating the bands so the attachment point is facing AWAY from you
(attach to the loops on your side of the handle) from the shooting position. if they are pointed UP (which seems like the case in the photos) the bands will tend to follow an arc described by the radius from their attachment point and will slap your knuckles. this also seems to be the case with most OTT (over the top) rigging from my experience but the draw length, handle design, and band type may be mitigating factors. alternatively, you could weld a steel rod to protrude in front of your knuckles and bend it straight down to make a knuckle guard ... but the frame gets heavier and out of balance when you do this and your follow-through will drop forward and down.
also try simplifying your attachment method, the rubber bands make the attachment rigid with more layers and also crimp your tubes which in turn make the bands rise more when released with an OTT rig.

Two good sugestions there, I give that a try.
