Been wantin' one for good while, saw this on E bay, seller didn' know what size it was, but I bought it anyway, for $16.45 with shipping, it's a .415 size, balls are 115 grain // .25oz // 6.9 gram, work and shoot good, but don't get molten lead on your good nylon jacket, sure messes em up, AAARRRGGGhhhhh, ruined that coat, anyway, got m' own ballmaker now,

I inherited about a dozen assorted molds and a rcbs pro melt a while back, but not a single round ball mold (grandpa didn't care for black powder guns). I stalked feebay for a while and picked up a lee.495 dual mold for about $25, then somebody informed me that cabella's carries them new for $22, and there happened to be one just south of Austin when we went to visit the inlaws. Now I just want a .375 (they only stock the .311 in the stores) and I'll be good to go on lead balls.

For aluminum molds they specifically say to clean with carbon tet or white gas to remove all traces of oil, then light a match and hold under each side of the cavities to coat them with carbon so they will release. I don;t have much experience with iron mold blocks, but i suspect oil and hot lead might not mix too well.
